Tips for Regional Investor Meetings

Time is valuable. Do some advance work; visit regional markets on your own to evaluate the investment climate and to determine where there is significant interest to warrant management’s time on future trips that take you to/through the region.

Begin your roadshow in a regional market. This allows you to become comfortable with your story, get a flavor for the topics and questions on the minds of investors and prepare management for the more intense meetings typical of the money centers.

Consider stopping by a regional market while traveling to/from a scheduled meeting or conference elsewhere. Triangulating another city can be a very efficient use of your travel time.

Be more productive by visiting two cities in one day … Pittsburgh/Cleveland, Cleveland/Columbus, Columbus/Cincinnati, and Milwaukee/Madison are a two hour drive from each other and very do-able for investor meetings.

Send an electronic copy of your presentation ahead of your visit to familiarize your audience with the company’s story which allows the meeting to be more productive. This is especially true for small-cap companies that have less analyst coverage and are not as well known.

Voyager Hires MJ Gaul as Vice President and Announces New Markets for Corporate Access Program

Columbus, Ohio- 20 July 2009

Voyager Institutional Services has announced that they have hired MJ Gaul as Vice President, Institutional Sales. Ms. Gaul will manage Voyager’s corporate access program in the Minneapolis and Kansas City markets. John Schoger, partner and founder of Voyager, said, “We are thrilled to have MJ join our team. Her knowledge, relationships, and experience, coupled with the quality of our services, will strengthen our leading role as a provider of corporate access to the Midwest investment community.”

Gaul joins Voyager after six years of Institutional Sales for Lehman Brothers/Barclays Capital where she covered Minneapolis, Kansas City and Texas markets. Based out of Chicago, she will initially cover Minneapolis and Kansas City. She holds both Series 7 and Series 63 licenses and is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), as well as a member of the NIRI Twin Cities and NIRI Chicago chapters.

Voyager’s expansion into Kansas City and Minneapolis augments the Company’s established Ohio and Pittsburgh markets and provides a larger breadth of institutions for their clients, the Investor Relations Officers (IROs) and Management Teams from small to mega-cap domestic companies and ADRs. Voyager specifically targeted these markets based upon significant assets under management, large institutional investors that actively manage their holdings, and a bias towards long-only investment styles. Voyager partner, Dianne Iannarino, commented that, “The expansion of Voyager’s brand into KC and Minneapolis will allow us to provide a broader audience within the Midwest institutional community to the companies that we host on our non-deal roadshows.”
